Happy Birthday to Porter

Porter turned 10 on the 15th of March. We had a science birthday party for him. His birthday cake was a volcano (and I am quite proud of myself, it turned out great!) We played some science games and made borax slime. We also built our own hoagie sandwiches. Then, that evening, we went to the Faulkner Planetarium in Twin Falls. They have a museum there that the kids like to explore. We watched the star show in the planetarium and played archeology games in the museum. It was a great day!

Emily: Yawning isn't because you're tired ~ yawning is air conditioning for your brain. 7.3
Aleise was trying to tell me that she wanted a piece of cheese but I thought she was saying juice (which really means milk, so complicated!) You could tell that she understood that I wasn't getting it because she wasn't saying it right. Finally, she scrunched up her face like she does when we are taking pictures and tell her to "say cheese!" and said CHEESE! I got it! 1.10
Noah: Mom, you are not the most beautiful thing in the world. But you are beautiful. But God is the most beautiful thing in the whole world. 4.1 How can you argue with that?
Emily (waiting for me to explain some schoolwork to her): Mom, I am suffering here! 7.3
We were talking about our upcoming trip to California. Noah was very excited and said, "I hope God doesn't kill me on THIS trip." Me too, buddy, me too! --Noah 3.11 This kid makes me laugh every day!
