Today was the annual strawberry day! It started at 6:30 this morning as my mom and I set out for Jerome and the strawberry farm. We picked and picked and picked some more. I usually get about 30 gallons, but Sysco was having a big sale this week on sliced, frozen strawberries so we only picked 16 today. They are late this season, which means it got hot earlier and with only two of us picking, I was really glad we weren't getting 30.
When we got home, the work really began. My kids were all great little helpers and stuck with it until the job was done. Here they are all busy washing and eating and hulling and eating and bagging and eating...
TA-DA!! It is now 10:00 at night and we just finished the last strawberry (well, except for what we held in reserve to eat fresh). I cannot wait for the days ahead: strawberry pie, strawberry shortcake, strawberries and toast, strawberry shakes, strawberries and ice cream, spinach and strawberry salad. I love STRAWBERRIES!!
My girls LOVE butter! Thankfully, Emily has outgrown eating it right out of the butter dish but not so with Aleise. Here is what Kevin found the other morning after breakfast.
She must have eaten half a cube of butter with her hands! And she sure thought it was yummy.
Aleise, the quick-change artist, had removed her suit and her swim diaper and was playing in the sand box! Naked is her favorite way to be. She even has this little song and dance she does whenever she achieves the naked nirvana. She shimmys around and sings, "naked, naked". 
Here, another naked picture, this time reading stories in her room. I think I could make a whole naked album for her. That might come in handy in her teen years!
